Just occasionally you find yourself in exactly the right place at the right time. And that was just the case the other night: On our way home from a perfect beach side barbecue (more on that in a moment) we turned down a little, unclassified lane off the steep and winding road which meanders down to Boscastle harbour, when there before us the most glorious sunset. Now I know you’re going to say that happens every night but it’s not often you’re there at just the right time, able to stop the car and have camera to hand. So, here’s the result, what I would call the perfect Cornish sunset. Now the barbecue I mentioned took place when Shelley and I were joined by other family members for a jolly good evening out at Lundy Bay, a tiny and not too well known about cove between Port Isaac (Doc Martin’s fictional home) and the surfing paradise that is Polzeath beach. A really wonderful spot. Come and discover it for yourself. You never know, we may even throw in a free barbecue.
